Custom built golf clubs and golf club repairs are carried out in each of The Golf Workshops, plus sales and repair of powered golf trolleys. Our first workshop was opened by Alan Monk in 1995 in Orpington, to bring full custom fitting and customisation to all golfers of either sex and any handicap. Steven Pantony has taken over the Orpington workshop and Alan Monk has set up the Powakaddy mail order spares department.
Would you buy size 6 shoes if your feet were size 8? Of course not, therefore why should you buy a set of golf clubs off the shelf which are a length dictated by the manufacturer for "Mr. Average". If you were 6ft. 5ins. why should you be expected to use the same specification clubs as someone of 5ft. 6ins. Who is to say the shaft flex is correct for your swing speed? What about the all important grip, the only contact you have with the club. Is it suitable for your hand size? If you are "Mr. Average" you will be OK but how do you know.
